I am interested in becoming a member of the BWBP Board because I am a proponent of the organization’s vision and mission and I believe that my professional expertise is well suited to the organization’s current needs. My background will allow me to help the BWBP Board enhance its strategic planning and programs for achieving organizational objectives.
As a retired Organizational Psychologist with over 40 years of experience in helping organizations improve their efficiency and effectiveness, I have a specialized background in human resource management, especially in the areas of recruitment and selection, training and development, and performance management. I also have extensive experience conducting surveys and performing various types of studies involving statistical analysis.
Having served on boards of other non-profit organizations with thousands of members, I have been involved with revamping by-laws, conducting surveys of member needs, developing fundraising programs, and recruiting professional staff. I am sensitive to problems typically experienced by non-profit organizations, particularly issues pertaining to funding, government relations, membership retention and growth, and volunteerism.
